The PETUNIA moulds are made of heat- resultant semlpermanent graphite and are used for making the “PetWeld” connection.
They comprise a crucible, tap hloe and a weld cavity.
The high temperature thermic reaction takes.
Place in the crucible of the moulds allowing molten Copper to flow through the tap hole into the weld cavity, producing a solid joint. They can be used for over than 70 connections under normal usage.
Graphite cover protects from the reaction projections.
Smokeless Moulds
 PETUNIA offer a line of smokeless "PetWeld" moulds for indoor use and for confined spaces. The process uses an integrated filter system on the mould and wick ignition of the weld to produce a finished connection with minimal smoke emission.
- To order smokeless "PetWeld" moulds and weld metal, add the prefix "SM" to the desired mould order code. (for example SMCC-TH 35/35 instead of CC-TH 35/35)
- The wicks are used for only one time and the filter should be changed every 4 to 6 connections to ensure the best performance.
- 15 filters are included with every mould. the quantity of wicks are depend on the quantity of powders.
Uni-Shot Moulds
 PETUNIA can supply a variety of one time use, ceramic molds. These products are designed to make only one exothermic weld. The system is a cost effective solution when only a small number of joints are required. The one time moulds are supplied complete with powders and retaining disc.
