A set of cleaning tools, a flint gun and a fire flame is required to clean the conductors and moulds to start the reaction and to warm the mould as well.
Sleeves
When the cable opening in the mould is larger than the cable, copper sleeves are slide over the cable to adapt smaller size cable opening to a larger size mould cable opening.
Metal Disks
The disk rests on the bottom of the crucible and holds the welding powder in place until the reaction tack place. For each weld made, a new disk is required. Disks are included with the weld material.
Quick Starter
A way to start weld metal is using of wick. It is also used for igniting of exothermic welding powder in smokeless moulds.
Lighter
Lighters are used for igniting quick starter.
