engineeringPETUNIA currently has a core staff of several engineers. All of these have been selected because of their unique alternative experience. We are able to provide our clients with the project teams to meet the challenges presented by mature fields. Advantage has been successfully involved in almost every advanced engineering project carried out in PETUNIA. Clients have recognized through the provision of project services, PETUNIA’s ability to provide efficiently their requirements.
Major Services:
Back-up Services: PETUNIA maintains close contact with the market so that it can tailor its product offering to the needs of the clients. The considerable experience has ensured that the Company can provide complete back-up services from initial design to final commissioning. The aim is to give customers an efficient, professional service of the highest quality.
Design and Engineering: The engineering and design phase is one of the key processes during the project execution stage. Detailed design and engineering drawings in "AutoCAD", together with all necessary documentation are paramount concerns for a successful project now.
Software Design: In-house and other software design and configuration for customers’ requirements bespoke solutions are the company's specializations. PETUNIA has developed a number of soft wares to assist an operator in successfully achieving their advanced field technology requirements.
Site survey & Inspection: Site survey & Inspection: Site surveys are undertaken to evaluate the Corrosion, Earthing and Lightning activities by means of soil, water, location, stray current and other testing.
PETUNIA undertakes the following surveys:
- Soil Receptivity Survey using the Four-Pin Wenner method and electromagnetic geonics equipment to calculate pipeline route resistivity and to locate conventional shallow/horizontal along with deep well vertical ground bed locations
- Current Requirement/Drainage Survey
- Current Attenuation Test (CAT) Survey
- Direct Current Voltage/Gradient (DCVG) Survey
- Close Interval Potential (CIPS) Survey
- Stray Current Interference Surveys
- On/Off Potential Survey
- Coating Resistance Survey
- Anode bed Resistance Survey
- Buried Structures Natural Potential Surveys
- Overhead line Effect on Buried Structures Survey
- Sulfur Reduced Bacteria (SRB) Survey
- PH Survey
- Carbonate And Sulfate Ions Survey
- Grounding System Resistance Survey
- Contact Voltage (Touch and Step Voltages) Survey
- Continuously Survey
- Lightning Protection Installation Survey
- Lightning Protection Level Survey
Installation Supervision Our supervisory services assist and oversee the installation of all types of our fields systems. These include internal Cathodic protection and under tank Cathodic protection, Lightning and Earthing Systems. We also supervise installation of conventional horizontal and vertical ground beds and all supporting monitoring/test facilities, including permanent reference electrodes and coupons.
Maintenance and Monitoring We can review existing cathodic protection systems and then develop and implement corrective action plans. We are able to manage and carry out monitoring and maintenance for any cathodically protected structure including remote and inplant systems. We can also conduct surveys to validate each system component including transformers, bonds and foreign/road crossings.
Remote Monitoring and Control In conjunction with our CPDM program and range of remote monitoring systems, we can manage and audit existing CP systems and support remote monitoring control systems.
System Commissioning We carry out initial and final commissioning of completed cathodic protection systems. This includes setting up and operating remote monitoring and control systems
CIPS Surveys We can provide detailed CIPS – Close Interval Potential Surveys with ON OFF pipe-to-soil potential surveys using specialized GPS synchronous data loggers, such as the Allegro CX Unit and GPS current interrupters.
Coating Surveys We provide detailed pipeline coating surveys using the Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) IR% and Pearson survey equipment.
E-Log I Surveys We offer detailed surveys for external well casing protection through current drainage surveys in conjunction with an E Log I survey. We can use either permanently installed impressed current transformer rectifiers and ground beds or temporary power sources and temporary ground beds.
AC Interference Surveys Our pipeline integrity surveys include measuring and monitoring the effects of both AC and DC interfaces. This includes carrying out specialist surveys and collecting site data for design of AC and DC mitigation systems.
Current Drainage Surveys We carry out current drainage surveys on new and old buried piping and tankage systems to determine your actual cathodic protection current requirements.
Training: Operator and maintenance training can be tailored to meet customer needs and PETUNIA’s comprehensive range of maintenance and support services provide an appropriated back up level. PETUNIA’s Complete Training System has been designed as a result of industry requirement for a flexible training package.
